Anyway. I meant to write this ages ago. The Queenie-Odd Plot (or Queerplot, as Julie and I have been calling it) is finally finished. (For those of you who are interested, here are parts one and two of the culmination of the plot.)

Seriously you guys, if you love ANYTHING Marvel, ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) montclare is the place to be. The people are ALL AWESOME and it's full of both srs plots and crazy fun.
To echo eternally, this is the most fun I've had in a game in a looong time (Not that I don't love my other games).
Also- I'm debating between the 8 gb and 32 gb iPod touch. There are pros and cons to both, but I'm leaning to the 32 because I'm a space hog. 32 it is! Hooray for Christmas moneys!

As I am heading off to bed (gotta be up in six hours!), I realize (even though I mentioned it to Dawn just a bit ago) that while I updated my LJ from my phone at lunch today (officially yesterday now), I got home late from the school (I've still been doing my student teaching while going through the appeals process) because of traffic forcing me to take the scenic route (and also staying after to sit in on a conference with one of our student's parents) and thus getting home AN HOUR AFTER I LEFT THE SCHOOL (which is 20 minutes away), and then I forgot that I hadn't updated here.
Okay, ramble over.
I called Dr. XXXXX's secretary (Dr. XXXXX being the woman I had to appeal to) today to see if I could set up a face-to-face meeting to further convince her to give me a second chance. I was informed that it was unnecessary ... AS MY APPEAL HAD GONE THROUGH AND I WAS REINSTATED! :D
I did a mini little happy dance in my head and relaxed a WHOLE FREAKING LOT.
So right now is good. :)
And seriously, thank you again for all the support you all have been giving me and the advice on the appeal letter. I really don't know what I would have done without you all.

Welcome to Bellum Letale: The strangest apartment building this side of the world.
VACANT. Djinn comes from extremely low beginnings, and he lived his entire life at the whim of more powerful people: an underground drug cartel. His masters have mostly used his unique skills to remove living obstacles from their path, and one of his unfortunate escapades was The Beast's suspected crime. He's been sent to Bellum by his superiors, who he would not consider denying, to find blackmail information on anyone in the building with the capacity to pay, or with connections to the Mafia, putting Red Riding Hood, The Big Bad Wolf and The Boy Who Learned Fear firmly on his radar.
VACANT. The Frog Prince isn't your standard prince; he doesn't have flowing golden hair or striking blue eyes. He's handsome, in a languid, casual way, a gypsy, and he isn't the best with words, though he is excellent at tricking others into things. As soon as he sees Sleeping Beauty, however, he's smitten, and he turns his trickery in her direction. He knows The Baba Yaga from his youth, and he's interested in using The Black Forest Witch's neediness to make Sleeping Beauty notice he exists.

Apartments For RentVACANT. The Phantom was born to a radical, religious woman, who thought he was the spawn of Satan, and she raised him locked in a small room under their house. He is a musical prodigy, but he's also charmingly deranged. He's heard Christine Daae singing through the doors of her apartment, and he's obsessed with her. He's currently sponsoring The Gingerbread Wo/man in the record business, but he has a reputation for taking advantage of his clients' talent.
VACANT. Van Helsing is a well-traveled young man with a lifelong talent for the occult. His younger sister was murdered by Dracula, and he has tracked the man to the building, even though he doesn't know his identity yet. He's very interested in Mina Harker, but something is drawing him to the The Baba Yaga, and he has knowledge about the The Big Bad Wolf that he just can't explain. Chicken Licken, on the other hand, he just can't handle being around. This character is an incarnation of Emil Rothe.

Premise:
There is an apartment building in New York called 'Bellum Letale.' Most people ignore its auspicious name, though they would be advised to pay more attention to its meaning.
It is a strange building.
Every man, woman and child in the building is a reincarnated fable, the stories told to human children for hundreds, sometimes thousands of years. Once very real, the fables began to fade as science and reason dispelled the probability of their existence. They have all been reborn in human forms, though their essence remains, waiting to be awakened at the right time, in the right place.
Now is the time - Bellum Letale is the place. As their lives connect and weave together, as they follow their petty desires and long-held grudges, they are, all of them, on the brink of disaster. Their Landlord knows their every move, and the building they live in seems to have an agenda of its own. People are tortured, people die, people plot behind each other's backs and sneak around and cheat. They love, they fight, they draw blood. This is not the fairy tale you remember being told. |

For as long as anyone can remember, the City has always been one of the largest metropolitan centers in the world. It has had its share of glory and decline, but none so great as the age in which Oz Corp was first founded and what followed after. Michael Ozma was no man of magic, but he might as well have been for the technological wonders he brought to the people of the City. He invented a software interface so advanced it seemed uncrackable and reshaped the corporate world in the City. Even thirty-six years after his death, his revolutionary ideas are still inspiring work on Oz Corps newest water-powered engine.
Now, Ozma's three surviving daughters rule over this once great Metropolis, and the Gilded Age is long past. OzCorp has become corrupt, and the City has fallen from it's glory days. Crime and drugs now rule the streets, though some aristocrats still live above it all.
Inspired by folk-lore and fairy-tales, Not So Far Away is a unique Role-Playing World that incorporates characters from fairytale, folklore, and mythology from around the world and brings them into this ever-expanding universe. The only rule is that every character represents an arch-type from another story, whether that be Prince Charming or the infamous Mr Toad. Having trouble conceiving a character of your own? We have a long list of 'pre-made' character concepts that will play an important role to the overall plot of our story. Just remember, that everyone has a tale to tell, and every tale has it's own heroes and villains.

All just part of a normal day in a very abnormal world. You don’t even glance up at the shrill whine of sirens or the roar of a giant monster a few blocks over. In the sky above a caped character is flying towards the fray; a member of some super hero team or perhaps a lone vigilante. Maybe the monster is a mythical creature or an invading alien or a minion of the latest super villain. A van is hurled down the street followed by another angry howl but you go casually about your business- buy your newspaper, sip your latte- and mutter cynically to yourself,

Oh Marvelous is an age 18+, social, thread based, third person, AU Marvel RPG played in real time (quite a mouthful). The game is set in present day. Although the game is New York centered, action takes place in locations all over the world. Plot is primarily player driven with occasional inclusive plots that affect the entire game. This game does not follow any set timeline or particular Marvel continuity. That means that pretty much anything goes.

Looking for a Cygnus I Black and/or Violetta Black (née Bulstrode) for ammods. The game is an alter reality type game. A strange King has pulled all sorts of Harry Potter universe characters from all different times and ages.
I play Pollux Black, their 2nd born child but 1st born son. The link has more links to his history, along with Cassiopeia (1st born) and Dorea's (4th born). Pollux has the utmost respect for his parents, and would literally do anything for them. Cassie and Dorea are both children in the game, so as long as Cygnus or Violetta are older than 18, they would reclaim guardianship over the girls. At the moment they are living with Sirius Black and Morag MacDougal, which Pollux is not a fan of one bit. There are a whole whack of Blacks in play, so there is a rather large potential for interaction.

Between the Puget Sound and Lake Washington lies the beautiful city of Seattle. The largest city of the Pacific Northwest, the city is a major location for commerce, culture, and perhaps adventure. However, past the mountainous and green borders lies a darker, more sinister underground which is resurfacing after years of dormancy.
Organized crime has begun to increase their profits by selling both illegal and prescription drugs. Prostitution, in certain locations of the city, is on the rise. Once a popular tourist attraction, the Seattle underground is now closed off after a spike in violent crimes. Now, those who venture to these former tourist locations venture at their own risk.
There are still those who refuse to leave the city, despite the rise of crime. Many flock to gated communities, or the safer suburbs while still commuting to the city for work. How will the people react to these changes? That is entirely up to you.
